Topic: Quarantine

Well, that's my attempt on this game translation. Only "intro.lua" was translated so far. Translation is really lame right now, but I'll try my best to fix it. Of course I would be happy if someone helps me.
Also I will continue translation (thought do not expect it early, since I would be busy soon).

Translation notes/problems (help needed):

  1. I don't know how "ПДКО" should be trasnslated - "PHKO"? I just left "PDKO" for a time.

  2. I am not sure about the right way to traslate "начальник" in the polar station context. I chose "chief"

  3. Also I am not sure how should I translate "тварь". I chose "beast".

"начальник" = chief, boss. You're right.
"тварь" = beast or monster if you like.

I read your translation. It's just great! If I'll notice something, I'll tell you about it. But so far it's VERY good.


"Kuzmich was a good cook, and remain so in any circumstances..."
May be it's better to say this in Present Simple? Despite the russian verb "был", this sentence in original means that Kuzmich is ALWAYS a good cook. The verb "was" means some kind of... that now Kuzmich is NOT a good cook... Am I wrong?

Ух ты. Мы уже пытались переводить (кота и олдстори) -- в svn, зеркало -- на форуме. Но пока целиком ничего нет. Если что могу дать доступ в svn на запись на instead-games,

Спасибо, но я думаю что лучше будет сначала закончить перевод, хотя бы и с косяками.

Not sure about (3), but I believe that (2) should be right. Even (1) should, as soon as peoples do not always talk like they ought to. And this exclamation looks like a pretty emotional one.

And again - I am not sure about (3)... Maybe you meant "Don\'t know where it came from. I don't know anything!!!"?
